• 1.1 Hours of video training on home modifications within the Parkinson's Disease population
  • 30 mins of training on specific characteristics of the Parkinson's Disease population
  • 30 mins of training on a home safety assessment checklist and specific home assessment techniques for the Parkinson's Diseases population
  • 10 minutes on video samples and equipment samples that could be recommended for the Parkinson's Disease population
  • 10 minutes of training on the HE (Dementia specific) home safety assessment

  • 30 mins of training on specific characteristics of the spinal cord injury population
  • 30 mins of training on a home safety assessment checklist and specific home assessment techniques for the spinal cord injury population
  • 10 minutes on video samples and equipment samples that could be recommended for the spinal cord injury population
• 4 hours on quarterly trainings that will cover a variety of topics such as smart technology in home modifications, virtual reality in home modifications, best practice in material use. 

Learning Objectives:

1. Students will be able to choose the 3 categories that home modifications aims to adjust to help with aging in place and ADLS (including such as bathing, dressing, food prep), transfers, and gait with 70% accuracy by properly selecting each from a provided list of home modification interventions on post test.

2. Students will be able to recognize the differences that diagnoses such as Parkinson's Disease or Dementia play within the home with 70% accuracy by properly selecting key factors from a provided list on post test.

3. Students will be provided a list of home modification benefits and will be able to recognize the most impactful changes in the home modification process that reflect these benefits with 70% accuracy by properly selecting from multiple choice on post test.
